1931-2021 A History of Mount Olive Lutheran Church

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV

Well before Interstate 26, during The Depression, at about the time the Lake Murray Dam was completed, Mount Olive Lutheran Church was established by a cadre of families who lived in the Irmo area. What started in the home of Mrs. Betty Weed and moving into a rented store, has progressed to the red brick church at the corner of Lake Murray Boulevard and Nursery Road on the edge of Irmo, S.C. Thus begins the detailed history.
